2024 RMF Summit Recap: A Night of Legacy, Creativity, and Celebration
The Radio, Music & Film Summit returned for its 2024 edition after a sold-out event in 2023, and once again, it captivated the community with an unforgettable experience. The 2024 summit was sold out, as fans and industry leaders gathered to celebrate and honor the legacy of Bass Music and so much more.
The evening kicked off with the grandeur of the red carpet, where Bass Music pioneers gathered to commemorate 35 years of Bass Music. This landmark celebration featured a special presentation and powerful performances from leading pioneers, alongside an artist showcase that spanned Southern Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, and more. The event was a testament to the enduring influence of these genres and the talent that shaped them sponsored by B96 The Block.
The unique fan exhibit dedicated to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, presented by her sister Reigndrop Lopes. The exhibit captivated attendees as they witnessed a special presentation honoring the Lopes family by the Radio, Music & Film Alliance of Georgia and DJ Dasz of B96 the Block, celebrating Left Eye's profound impact on music and culture.
On Saturday, August 17th, the summit transitioned to a day of enlightenment and creativity, featuring educational workshops, book signings, and vendors. The "Speak Lounge: Your Mental Wellness Hub" offered guests a place to relax and rejuvenate with mini massages, relaxation techniques, and invaluable insights on wellness from Dr. LaShonda Lane.
The day concluded with the Fundraiser Red Carpet All White Honor's Night Gala, where guests were treated to complimentary food and a cash bar. The night was filled with glamour, powerful performances, and distinguished guests. The evening was hosted by the dynamic duo Casual Cal and special guest MC Lightfoot.
